As a teacher, I'm dedicated to helping students build real technical foundation and musical confidence, at any age or level. I offer private violin and viola lessons in Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, and Hampton Roads, plus chamber music coaching and audition preparation.

Individualized instruction is available for beginning, intermediate and advanced violinists. Students develop healthy playing habits, technical security, musical understanding and the confidence to communicate through their instrument.

I believe musical development is a holistic process — technical precision and real artistry, growing together, not one at the expense of the other. Technique isn't the end goal for me; it's the vehicle that lets a student actually say something through their playing. That's what I'm working toward with every student I teach.
Learn MoreI'm the founder and artistic director of Galatea Chamber Music, a nonprofit bringing professional chamber music to Hampton Roads. Through Galatea, I organize free community concerts — no ticket, no cover charge, just music that's actually open to anyone who wants to walk in and listen. My students also get to see and sometimes perform alongside the chamber musicians who play these concerts, which is a different kind of learning than anything that happens in a lesson room.
